Benedictines of Campos do Jordão (Brazil) [May 2026]
Purchase of an industrial oven
Project #26M044
Founded in 1964 by the Abbey of Uberaba, the monastery was elevated to the status of an abbey in 1981 and is part of the Brazilian Congregation. The community consists of about twenty sisters.
The sisters produce jam, cookies, and cakes. They run a guesthouse and provide catechesis for children and adults. They assist the local population as much as they can by distributing food, clothing, and medicine.
Project:

In 2023, with the support of the AIM, the sisters completely refitted their bakery by converting a garage for the purpose, as the old premises were too dilapidated and no longer met health standards. In 2025, the sisters were able to increase production by upgrading their equipment. Demand for their products is rising sharply due to the increased number of guests and pilgrims, and they wish to acquire an industrial bread oven that will enable them to boost production and better meet their needs.
Financial assistance: 5,000 euros
