French-speaking Africa [November 2025]

Meeting of monastic superiors from French-speaking Africa

Project 3776 - French-speaking Africa

Meeting of monastic superiors from French-speaking Africa from 1 to 10 March 2026

At the last meeting of superiors from French-speaking Africa in February 2024, the participants agreed to hold a meeting every two years instead of every four years in order to improve their training, get to know each other better and facilitate exchanges.

The next meeting will therefore take place from 1 to 10 March 2026 at the Benedictine nuns' convent in Bouaké (Côte d'Ivoire). Twenty-two superiors, both men and women, will participate, coming from communities in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, the DRC, the Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast, Guinea Conakry, Senegal, and Togo. There will be an outside speaker for the meetings, as well as the presence of the Abbot Primate.

Financial assistance is needed to help cover the costs of the meeting.

AIM support: €2,000.
