The monastery of Kappadu was founded under the Syro-Malabar rite by three monks from the Benedictine monastery of Asirvanam (Bangalore). The community moved to Kappadu in 1987. The community has fifty-five members, including four novices and seven young temporary professed members. Agriculture is the brothers’ main source of income.


Request

Eight brothers are studying theology at St Ephrem’s Theological College (Madya Pradesh) and St Joseph’s Seminary (Kerala). Financial assistance is needed to cover enrolment fees and travel expenses.
