Project 6662 - Participation of four sisters in the meeting of the association Sainte-Mechtilde
The Indigenous Congregation of the Benedictine Sisters of Oshikuku was founded by Bishop Joseph Gotthardt in 1932. It currently has about 140 sisters engaged in various apostolates: teaching, care, boarding, catechism, helping women, etc. The Hospitality School was opened in 2007 and serves young people who have not been able to continue their studies, especially young mothers and daughters. Young people are trained in sewing, cooking, computer science, office management, English, African languages, horticulture.
In 2019, the meeting of the association Sainte-Mechtilde, which includes the sisters of Oshikuku, will be held from June 26 to July 2, 2019 in Chipole (Tanzania) on the theme of celibacy. The sisters of Oshikuku need financial assistance for the cost of air travel of the four sisters participating.
