LATIN AMERICA - EMLA Association
Project 6589 - Meeting of the monastic association of Latin America (EMLA)
In 1978 the monasteries of Latin America were grouped into three regions, ABECCA (Benedictine and Cistercian Association of the Caribbean and the Andes), CIMBRA (Inter-Monastic Commission of Brazil) and SURCO (Southern Cone). EMLA includes these three regions and meets every four years, with about a hundred members.
The next meeting will be held at the monastery of Cordoba (Argentina) 30th September – 6th October, 2019. Financial help will be needed for the good functioning of these days as well as for airfares for certain members coming from poor communities.
Requested amount: € 20,000
